Grande e rara lampada Art Déco in ceramica policroma, decorata a mano, realizzata dallo scultore e ceramista austriaco Rudolph Podany (1879–1963) per KWK KERAMOS (Keramos Wiener Kunstkeramik), tra le più importanti manifatture viennesi di ceramica artistica. Il gruppo raffigura al centro un Pierrot nell'atto di sostenere la lampada a forma di ombrello, affiancato da due eleganti figure femminili che lo abbracciano. La composizione, di grande effetto scenografico, è caratterizzata da un raffinato linguaggio Art Déco e da una vivace decorazione policroma. Marchio sotto la base: KWK KERAMOS AUSTRIA. Firma dell'artista Podany, incisa nella pasta sotto la vetrina. Austria, anni '20/'30.

Condizioni: molto buone, presenza di alcune piccole chips (vd foto); segni ed usura si devono all'uso e al tempo. La lampada è funzionante.

PODANY FOR KWK KERAMOS AUSTRIA CERAMIC LAMP, 1920s/1930s

A large and rare Art Deco lamp in polychrome ceramic, hand-decorated, created by Austrian sculptor and ceramist Rudolph Podany (1879–1963) for KWK KERAMOS (Keramos Wiener Kunstkeramik), one of Vienna's leading manufacturers of artistic ceramics. The central group depicts Pierrot holding the umbrella-shaped lamp, flanked by two elegant female figures embracing him. The composition, with its striking visual impact, is characterized by a refined Art Deco aesthetic and vibrant polychrome decoration. Marked under the base: KWK KERAMOS AUSTRIA. Signature of the artist, Podany, engraved in the paste beneath the glaze. Austria, 1920s/1930s.

Condition: Very good, with some small chips (see photo); signs of wear and tear are consistent with use and age. The lamp is in working order.
